Trovebox Project

About Trovebox Project

The Trovebox Project offers a way for people to store and share photos in a personal cloud account while keeping control and ownership of all their photos. At the Trovebox Project, we've built a photo sharing and photo management web interface to store data such as photos, tags, and comments "in the cloud" (i.e., Amazon S3, Rackspace CloudFiles, Google Storage).

Trovebox works similarly to Flickr, SmugMug and other photo-sharing services, with one major difference: You retain ownership of your photo data and give Trovebox access to use them. This means you can easily switch between Trovebox services, use more than one at a time, or stop using them altogether while retaining control of all of your photos, tags and comments.

The Trovebox Project is a participant in the WebFWD Fellows program.
